VIDEO WORLD: Keri Hilson Performs “The Christmas Song”

Keri Hilson has been on a promo spree to support her new album No Boys Allowed. This time she was performing “The Christmas Song” for The UNICEF Snowflake at the 5th Avenue Presbyterian Church in New York. Check her performance and photo below.

This is my second favorite Christmas song after “This Christmas.” I found this to be a pretty good rendition. Keri has been out to prove that she has chops these days. And I’m not mad. Check her super cute and festive outfit too.

So cute!! Make sure you cop her new album, No Boys Allowed, when it hits stores December 21, 2010.

MAGAZINE WORLD: Pooch Hall for Kontrol Magazine + “The Game” Promos

Actor Pooch Hall, most famously known for his role as Derwin Davis on “The Game,” posed for Kontrol Magazine‘s Body Issue. He looked AMAZING!! Someone’s been working out while waiting for “The Game” to return. Check out photos and a preview video below.

Okay Derwin!! The cover hits newsstands Monday. “The Game” makes it’s triumphant return to BET January 11, 2010. I’m sure about 85% of the Black community will be tuning in. In the meantime, BET has released a mini promos to whet your whistle. Check it, if you haven’t seen it yet.

TV WORLD: Jay-Z on David Letterman

Jay-Z recently visited The Late Show with David Letterman to pub his new book “Decoded.” He brought his usual charm and wit to the interview and I enjoyed it. He discusses his childhood, Reganomics, and his early career. Check it.

I’m officially a Jay-Z stan. There are plenty more interviews floating around the ‘net with Jay-Z discussing all types of topics. I won’t bored you by posting all of them, but  one of my favorite was a 70+ minute interview with Juan Epstein that Miss Info posted. It’s very insighful on Jay-Z‘s experience with hip-hop and his life in general. I loved it.

Make sure you cop his book “Decoded,” in stores now.

FASHION WORLD: Swizz Beatz x Reebok

I’m not quite sure when Swizz Beatz became the beacon of fashion, but apparently I’ve been under a rock. After working with Christian Louboutin on an exclusive line of sneakers and then Aston Martin on a new model, dude is set to release a line of sneakers for Reebok!! I can’t keep up. Check the photos of the new shoes below.

They remind me slightly of Air Jordan 6’s, but maybe that’s just me. Big ups to Swizzy making sure to keep the cash flow coming to support his min army of kids. The shoes are set to drop in 2011. I’m sure more colorways will be released/available by then. Are you interested??

TV WORLD: Nicki Minaj on Wendy Williams + Two New Songs + MAC Deal

Sorry about this super duper Nicki Minaj post, but Nicki Minaj is on her full promo schedule for her album Pink Friday. She visited Wendy Williams yesterday for an interview and performance of her single “Right Thru Me.” Check both + photos of wacky outfit below.

Chick really needs to step her performance game up. Every time I see her, I’m bored. Maybe that’s why she dresses so wild, to keep people’s attention.

Two songs have also leaked from the album. One featuring Kanye West the other featuring Rihanna. Check them both below.

“Blazin” – Nicki Minaj x Kanye West

“Fly” – Nicki Minaj x Rihanna

The album Pink Friday hits stores next week Monday. I will be writing a review, so stay tuned. Will you be copping??

To add to her fortune, Nicki Minaj has teamed up with MAC to release a special edition lipstick called “Pink Friday.” The color will only be available on select Fridays. For more information, you can check the full story HERE.

MUSIC WORLD: J. Cole “Friday Night Lights” Mixtape

After much ado, J. Cole has released his highly-anticipated mixtape “Friday Night Lights.”  It features contributions from Wale, Drake, and the “Looking for Trouble” G.O.O.D. Friday offering that caused mucho web buzz. Download link below.

“Friday Night Lights” – J. Cole

I like the smoothness of the track. This is riding music. From a quick first listen, my standout tracks are of course Villematic, In the Morning, Best Friend, and Farewell of the 20 tracks offered. Does it live up to the hype??
