MUSIC WORLD: A Post Dedicated to Kanye West {Film, Good Friday, Album Tracklisting and Covers}

First things first, Kanye West just finished debuting his new short film “Runaway” which was simultaneously streamed on MTV, VH1, BET, Vevo.com, and each of those channel’s websites. There’s no way you could miss it unless you just plain forgot. Check the entire video, uninterrupted, below.

No need to give you a play-by-play, you can watch it yourself. I found that the commercial interruptions really ruined it a bit for me. So I re-watched it uninterrupted and found it to be much more beautiful. What are your thoughts on the video??

Kanye West also sat down with Access Hollywood to discuss the short film as well as his year-long hiatus. Check it.

Now, a new G.O.O.D. Friday track premiered yesterday. This one features Mos Def, Lupe Fiasco, and Big Sean. It’s titled “Don’t Look Down.” Check it.

I’m digging Big Sean on this track. You can see the Phoenix, played by Selita Ebanks, in the background of this G.O.O.D. Friday art.

Another track from Kanye’s new album, debuted today. It’s the first track of the album, titled Dark Fantasy. Check it.

“Dark Fantasy” – Kanye West

This track was produced by The RZA with assistance from No I.D. and Kanye West. Some of his lyrics from the freestyle make an appearance. But I love the feel of this track.

Speaking of the album, Kanye West tweeted a picture of his new album cover that was later rejected. Check the rejected cover.

Kanye West announced there will actually be 5 covers, but each album will contain all of the covers. You can choose which cover you’d like to be displayed on your personal album cover. A few of the other concepts have been released as well as the rumored tracklist. Check em below.

1. Dark Fantasy
2. Gorgeous (feat. Kid Cudi & Raekwon)
3. POWER
4. All of the Lights
5. Monster (feat. Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj & Bon Iver)
6. So Appalled (feat. Jay-Z, Pusha T, Prynce Cy Hi, Swizz Beatz & The RZA)
7. Devil In a New Dress
8. Runaway (feat. Pusha T)
9. Hell of a Life
10. Blame Game (feat. John Legend & Pusha T)
11. Lost In the World
12. See Me Now

Though most of these tracks have been released to the public already, Kanye West promises that the tracks will be more layered and varied making them sound completely different from what you expect.

Word on the street, the album is actually fully titled as A Beautiful Dark and Lovely Shaken Not Stirred Twisted Fantasy Work of Staggering Genius. Whatever the final title is, make sure you cop it when it hits stores November 22, 2010.

Editors Note: While watching the live Q&A following the premiere of his short film, Kanye West confirmed he and Jay-Z will be dripping their Watch the Throne project as a full album now!! I’m excited.
