PHOTO WORLD: BET Awards Red Carpet
This will the first post of many about the BET Awards. First up, the red carpet fashions. I missed the red carpet because I was en route, but I was able to catch up online. A lot of artists skipped the red carpet in general. But check it below. All photos courtesy of my Soror’s site, TheYBF.
Keri Hilson, who got instant comparisons to Rihanna, rocked this fiesty animal printed, long-sleeved mini dress with some HOT Loubitans. Rihanna and Keri Hilson share the same stylist, but I feel like Keri’s looks tends to be more natural for her. #justmyopinion
Jada Pinkett-Smith hit the carpet showing off her awesome body with her two kids, Willow and Jaden. Not sure how I feel about the short shorts with the box braids, but her body cannot be denied! And the kids kept it funky as usual.
Diddy- Dirty Money hit the red carpet looking like their usual selves. Take that how you want to…
Cassie wasn’t too far behind in an interesting (read: ugly) look.
N.E.R.D. also made an apperance. Pharrell was still rocking those shorts that got a lot of side eye action when he appeared on 106 & Park.
Nicki Minaj showed up in a vintage dress with a bozo wig. I understand she’s trying to downplay her sexy, but this had to potential to be hot if the hemline would’ve hit above the knee. This dress seemed more appropriate for the Academy Awards.
The cast of The Game looked nice on the red carpet. I wasn’t feeling Kelly Pitts’ dress though. A little too revealing. But I’m still SUPER excited that the series will return come January.
Ludacris didn’t appear to be dressed for the LA weather, but the orange looked nice on his skin.
Fellow ATLien Ciara also wasn’t dressed for the weather in what looks like a thick and heavy long-sleeved mini with booties. The dress is cute, but different shoes would have set the look off.
LaLa looks great! She recently posed for US Magazine detailing how she dropped 15 pounds in preparation for her wedding to Carmelo Anthony. She looks great.
Taraji Henson looked quite matronly in this dress. I wasn’t feeling it.
Nia Long looked the complete opposite. She rocked this Gucci mini dress beautifully. And I loved her throwback to Love Jones with Larenz Tate (I’ll post it later).
Brandy rocked an interesting look. I’m still on the fence about whether I like it or not. Leaning more towards the not though.
Eva Pigford looked stunning! That’s all I have to say about that.
Keke Palmer looked very age appropriate and cute in her flirty tube top dress.
